Emil Guillermo: Two Asian American friends zoom each other
You’ve zoomed, right? It’s the latest way to reach out and not touch someone in these times of social distancing. If you want an Asian American perspective on the news, here’s my conversation with longtime civil rights activist Phil Tajitsu Nash. A professor in Asian American Studies at University of Maryland, Nash is a former colleague of mine at Asian Week in San Francisco (and a board member of AALDEF).
In this podcast, we talk about hunkering down and how it’s affected our lives. We get into the violent scapegoating and harassment of Asian Americans, wearing masks, the great Covid-19 Divide on race, and we even share some health tips.
