Fight Against the PA Voter ID Law
imageWith Election 2012 approaching, voter ID laws across the country have been challenged for disenfranchising minority voters. Pennsylvania's new voter ID law would unfairly restrict the right to vote for eligible Asian American voters. The case was argued before the PA Supreme Court this week. Gordon Hirabayashi's Story On Stage
imageOn October 22, AALDEF will be hosting a theater party for Hold These Truths, a one-man play inspired by the true story of civil rights leader Gordon Hirabayashi and his stand against the incarceration of Japanese Americans during World War II. The play will be followed by a special Q&A session with playwright Jeanne Sakata and former acting U.S. Solicitor General Neal Katyal.
